How to install a Russia eSIM on iPhone and Android

Before you start

• Connect to a stable Wi-Fi network.
• Check your phone supports eSIM: dial *#06# and look for an EID.
• Make sure the phone is carrier-unlocked.
• Open your QR code on another screen (computer, tablet) or print it. You cannot scan a QR code shown on the same phone you are installing on, unless you save the image and use the option to choose it from photos, or enter the details manually.

iPhone (iOS 17 and newer)

1. Open Settings and tap Cellular (or Mobile Service).
2. Tap Add eSIM, then Use QR Code.
3. Scan the QR code from your order page or email.
4. Tap Continue and wait while the eSIM is activated.
5. Label the line Russia.
6. Choose which line is used for Cellular Data: switch it to the Russia eSIM once you land.

Samsung Galaxy

1. Open Settings → Connections → SIM manager.
2. Tap Add eSIM, then Scan QR code from service provider.
3. Scan the QR code and confirm.
4. Name the line Russia and set it as Mobile data when you arrive.

Google Pixel

1. Open Settings → Network & internet → SIMs.
2. Tap Add SIM (or the + button), then choose to download a SIM instead.
3. Scan the QR code and follow the prompts.
4. Turn the eSIM on and use it for mobile data in Russia.

After installing

• Keep your home SIM on for calls and text codes, and switch data roaming off on the home line.
• When you arrive in Russia, set the Russia eSIM as your data line and make sure data roaming is enabled for it if your phone asks.
• Do not delete the eSIM from your phone. A QR code can normally be installed only once, so keep your order email.

Can't scan the QR code?

You can enter the details manually. In your eSIM settings choose Enter details manually and type the SM-DP+ address and activation code from your order. They are the two parts of the activation string that looks like LPA:1$address$code. Lost the message? Use the resend page or contact support.
